K-12,September-May:

During the school year, from September 1 through May 31, all K-12 students are scheduled for 33 lessons and 6 piano holidays. Tuition is based on the total cost of these 33 lessons, divided into 9 equal payments.  Students enrolling mid-month will be charged at the "per each" rate for the first month, followed by equal monthly payments. You are not paying for the 6 piano holidays since the studio is closed. All K-12 students will receive a list of piano holidays and will be notified if the dates need to be changed.

K-12,June-August:

Summer lessons are available from June 1 through August 31. Flexible scheduling  allows for camps, sports and vacations.  Monthly lesson cost is figured at the “per each” rate.

Adult Students:

Flexible scheduling is used year round for Adult students.  Monthly tuition is charged at the "per each" rate.

For All Students - Music Costs, Fees, Payments, No Refunds:

All students are charged a one-time $50 registration fee. Costs for new music will be added to the student's bill as needed.

Payments are due by the first lesson of each month. Accepted payment forms include cash, electronic direct deposit via Zelle, and personal check. Expect a friendly reminder if payment is late.

No refunds will be given for tuition, fees, or music supplies when a student withdraws from lessons and leaves the studio.

Missed or Cancelled Lessons:

All lessons cancelled by the teacher will be rescheduled or credited to the student’s account. Student accounts will not be credited for lessons missed or cancelled by the student or their adult. Reschedule options  are available upon request and include a Saturday in-person lesson, weekday lesson swaps, or a FaceTime lesson.

*Please remember:

There is no need to cancel lessons due to upper extremity sprains and broken bones. The studio lending library has music for one hand readily available just in case.

Severe Weather, Cancelled School:

Lessons can usually continue as scheduled when school is cancelled. Our neighborhood winter roads are ordinarily drivable by late afternoon. Plan to come for piano class as scheduled unless you receive a message from the teacher saying lessons are cancelled. If you feel weather conditions make driving too risky, please stay home. Notify the teacher and ask to reschedule your lesson. Let’s be safe.

Illness:

When a student is unable to attend school or work due to illness, please stay home from piano lessons. Reschedule options will always be available for ill students. If a student has a diagnosis of pink eye, strep throat, or any other bacterial infection, please give prescribed antibiotics for 24 hours before resuming lessons. For  students who test positive for Covid-19, RSV, influenza, or pneumonia, please rest at home until cleared to resume school attendance or return to work. Masks, hand sanitizer, and disinfecting wipes are available for studio use, but germs can still find a way to move from an ill student to piano keys, to another student and the teacher. Sharon and spouse are fully vaccinated.
